John was asked to become the graphic design consultant to Crystal Cruises for the development of a proprietary sign system for their first luxury liner, The Crystal Harmony. At that time, John was an expert in cruise ship sign systems having already completed programs for Holland America Lijn, American Hawaii Cruises, and Sitmar Cruises while working for Bright & Associates. John’s expertise was utilized in creating a unique and upscale system for the first of two new ships. He assembled and directed a superb team of designers to complete the assignment.
